Fathers Day

Yesterday I didn't get a chance to blog, but we had such a good father's day that I thought I'd share it with you guys.
First off, I'd like to thank my husband for being the wonderful man that he is. He takes such good care of me from making sure I'm taking my vitamins, to getting us a humidifier, to even washing dishes when my feet are achy. I couldn't be more excited to be starting this journey with you and starting our little family. This babe is going to be so loved and spoiled! I love everything about you, and it melts my heart when I catch you reading my What to Expect When Expecting Book, or even searching for answers on the pregnancy online. You're going to make such a good daddy, and I love you for it. I love being a part of your life, and for having eternity of memories made with you!

I made breakfast in bed and then some of these cute crafts I got off some of my favorite blogs. Thank goodness for them, they are so creative!

Puppy Chow. I made one full of kiss cookies, but the kisses were still to warm to be put in the jar together without sticking to each other.
Tyler said I have more fun making the crafts then normal.. I can't help it though, it's so cute!
I found this card and thought it was absolutely made for Tyler. I took my own picture but it was blurry so I borrowed it from the mastermind behind the card. 30 Days
We also made these adorable boxes for our sunbeams' dad's and filled it with chocolate kissed and hugs. They loved it, and I love making crafts especially when they're appreciated. Here's the link for the future in case anyone wants to use her templates. paper crave
I loved making each one of these crafts, and loved seeing Tyler's face when he opened our presents (one from baby & me). I'm so grateful for the love he has for us and for the man that he is. The funniest, kindest, silliest, and cutest guy. I'm hoping that baby will look just like him.

Phew it's been a while! I'm not sure what my deal is lately. I'm going to play the 5th on explanations, and just blame hormones and stress.. I have to post a new picture of the bump soon. I cannot believe that I'm already 5 months pregnant. Holy-moly! To think that I only have 4 months left to get things in order, sort of freaks me out. both ways. We're supposed to find out the sex of the babe soon, which will hopefully help calm me down on what to expect and be able to plan better from there. I've been recently trying to de-clutter our house and have things organized so that I won't have to do too much when the time comes of not being able to do anything at all.. We've been home just reading books, preparing for med school and watching SVU law and order. (We can only watch it while the sun is still out, or else I won't sleep at night).
This past weekend I cleaned out my closet and had a basket full of clothes that needed to be donated. There's a place here called Plato's closet were you can take used clothes and they'll pay you for it. I always take clothes there before dropping it off at goodwill just in case I can get some $. Unfortunately for me Plato's closet discriminated my clothes during my latest attempt. Don't get me wrong. Plato's is anything from being top of the line "great clothes", but they do have a policy were the clothes they buy has to have been in stores, or in fashion during the last year. When the girl said "Sorry, we weren't able to use any of your items this time." I heard instead "Sorry you're not in style sweetie". I couldn't help but laugh the whole way home about the whole thing, especially when I told Tyler I am way past due on a shopping splurge. Boy did HE get a laugh out of that!!   In the end I ended up getting a bathing suit which I really needed considering the growing bump. My friend Katie found the most adorable set at J.Crew and was sweet enough to buy it for me. (Thanks again ;) As soon as I convince Tyler to go to the pool with me, I'll post a picture of it! I also started a new craft today and plan on having it done and blogged by the end of the week. My sister is coming to visit us in 2 weeks and I am static! My sister is for sure one of the funniest people I know. Our nieces are also staying for a bit while they participate in a summer camp. It'll be fun to have them around so that we could practice our parenting skills. I can't wait for all the great things that are unraveling in our lives this year, and the adventures we'll have this summer.

Memorial day weekend

This is not the best picture of the four of us, but sadly the only one we took together this past weekend. Meet my best friend and her hubby. Lucyara, and I have been friends since middle school. We've had a million sleep overs, a bunch of conversations, a few disagreements and countless memories!
They were nice enough to make the awful 12 hour drive down from Boston to spend the holiday weekend with us. It's always so good to see a familiar face around, and get to share our home with wonderful friends.
We tried to make the best of the short time with them, and show them around all that Virginia has offer. Problem was that there really isn't that much to do around here, unless we wanted to drive another hour or so to some good ol' civilization. We didn't want to put them though another long car ride, so we opted for things to do nearby. We had fun none-the-less.
We took them to this garden where they have these really neat things to explore. We went in the morning, but were worried of not having enough time to come home and change in time for church, so we had to rush. "The Giant Chair", was one of our favorites..Forgive me for not putting the one picture of Tyler and I together with the chair, but I looked absolutely horrendous it. Seems selfish, but it was UG-LY! [take my word for it ;)]
            The bottom one is better!
Holy moly I love this guy.

I wish that Boston weren't so far away and that we could have more opportunities to see the people we love more often. I am so grateful for them driving down and visiting us, and for the weather that allowed us to enjoy the outside. I am even more grateful for true friendships that are built from an early age and last forever. I hope to always have these two around our family, and someday have play dates for our kids. (HINT* HINT* Ms.Lucy)...
