starting solids.
Our pediatrician recommended waiting to introduce solids to Mia at about 6-8 months. I have been exclusively breastfeeding her since she was born, but we (Tyler and I), felt like we should start slowly introducing her to some cereal and veggies. She's not in love with her cereal, and I don't blame her. That thing is so bland without fruits, but we agreed to only introduce fruits once she got the concept of her veggies and eating with a spoon down. Anyways.. Here's a little sneak peak of what we're dealing with!
My favorite part is when she covers her mouth as if to say " That's enough dad, no more".. We love seeing her teeny personality coming out. Love you Moo.

Memorial day weekend
The weather was perfect to get some sun. We took Mia to the pools for the first time and she loved it! She did great in the water and thought the baby fountain was pretty funny. The only downside was how windy it got. Mia also cut her first tooth this weekend! Sunday morning she was being fussy
Grandpa, dad and baby had to stay under the shade because they are so white and sensitive to the sun!
I love my little family and the happiness that they bring me. I am so grateful for a loving husband and precious daughter. I am even more grateful for Dad & Wendy sharing their home with us. I'm so glad for the meaning of Memorial day and to all of those who serve our country. I especially love and want to thank my wonderful sister in law Ashley who is over seas serving right now. We are so proud of her and miss her everyday!

6 month
My baby is 6 months today and I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. She went from being what I considered a big 8.6 pound baby
to a now 18 pounder 6 month old bundle of happiness
Motherhood seems easy, but I won't lie, there have been moments that I've had to take a deep breath and smile or just hold tears back. Sometimes I find myself feeling inadequate for this task, but mostly I feel grateful to have the cutest little girl. Lately Mia has been melting my heart with her sweetness. When she sees me, she gets all giddy and squeals at seeing her mommy. That moment takes away any doubts that I might have of my parenting skills because what she may feel towards me, I feel towards her a hundred fold.

Her skills lately have been:
-when she's super happy she holds her arms and squeaks
-blowing raspberries
-sticking out her tongue
-can sit up on her own
-grabs hold of her toys
Her dislikes lately:
-When you take anything away from her.
& when you leave her sight for too long she breaks out the tears
I love every minute and every second I get to spend as a momma.
Happy half birthday my cute little girl.
